Designing & Creating Your Infographic Project (12/12-12/18)

SWBAT create and design an infographic relevant to a central valley teen by planning, researching, and citing supporting facts of their findings with graphs and flowcharts.

Today you will start the process of creating your own Infographic with a partner.  In order to successfully create an Infographic you must remember what an Infographic is:

An Infographic is:

Data that is sorted and arranged by the use of text and images.  It is then presented visually.

Step One: Choose a Partner & Start Your Infographic
Log on to your Google Drive and PARTNER ONE must create a presentation. Choose a theme. Change the size of the page. RENAME it as INFOGRAPHIC and then SHARE it with PARTNER TWO.  Watch the video below to get started.  

Step Two: Copy  a Google Document
Partner One will copy a Google Document and SHARE it with PARTNER TWO.  Click on the button below. Then click on File-->Make a copy--->OK.  

Go back to your Google Drive---Click on the copy--->then share with your partner. (See video example below)

Step Three: Select Your Topic
Now you and your partner will select a topic relevant to a central valley teen.  You may chose one of your own or you can select from the options below:

1. History of the internet
2. Cyberbullying
3. How the classroom evolved over time
4. How has the internet changed the classroom
5. How have cell phones evolved
6. History of video games
7. History of movies
8. How has music evolved over time
9. What are different forms of transportation
10.  History of a holiday Ex Christmas, New years, Halloween, etc
11.  History of a sport Ex Football, basketball, baseball, etc
12. How has technology changed/evolved in the classroom
13. Poverty in Fresno
14. Support Systems for students at school
15.  Importance of Students Playing Sports (Outcomes)
16. Why Math is important for students
17.  Why Science is important for students
18.  Why History is important for students
19.  Why English is important for students
20.  Why Technology is important for students
21. The evolution of _____________________(choose your own topic)!


Step Four: Researching Your Topic
*Choose 5 Different Categories or Areas that you will write & research
Find: Pros & Cons, Statistics, & Percentages 
 LIST THESE ON YOUR GOOGLE DOCUMENT FIRST

Step Five: Creating a graph. 
Use all the research you have acquired and then click the link below to create your graph

Step Six: Create a Timeline OR Flowchart 
Use the SHAPES section to create your timeline or flowchart.

Step Seven: Cite Your Sources
Create an area on your Infographic and label it Sources. List and Hyperlink your 5 interactive websites.
