Objective 1: SWBAT analyze, interpret, and discuss the quote of the week by answering 4 questions in the comment section on the class website.
Objective 2: SWBAT create and explore graphic design principles by creating their own webpage by using the Weebly website.

Today we evaluate the quote of the week as we do every Friday.  We will then get back to work on wrapping up Page 1 of our Weebly Website.  Follow the directions below to get started. 


Step One: Evaluate the quote of the week and answer the questions below.
"Slow Progress Is Better Than No Progress"
Questions: 
1. What do you think this quote means?
2. How can you relate this quote to this class or any other classes at Tioga?
3. What is one area you feel you have progressed in lately? Ex Technology, Math, Science, Sports

4. Was it difficult? Explain why or why not.

I want a picture for every subject.  For example if you have Math, Science, and Technology.  I want three different pictures for each class. Like a Math book, Microscope, and a computer or images below:

1. It means that its better to do something than nothing it all.
2. I can relate this to school because if actually do work then you won`t get in trouble for doing nothing at all.
3. I progressed in Algebra 1
4. Yes it was because I don`t like math.

I think the quote means that if u do something it is better than noting.
1. I don't relate this to any class.
2. I'm doing better on math because I had D and now i have a B.
3. I don't think my classes are hard.

1.I think quote means trying is better then not trying.
2.I can relate this quote to any of my classes in tioga.
3. I believe I have progress in math lately because I am in algebra1 and I have a B in the class.
4.I believe almost nothing is pretty difficult because I usually listen and pay attention.

1. i think this quote means it better to turn it late then dont do it at all.
2.i can relate to this because i sometimes turn in late work instead of not doing it.
3.one area that proccessed somthing late was in mr graneys class.
4.it was difficult because it was a lot of writting

1.) I think this quote means that its better to work slow than not work.

2.) I cant really relate this quote to any of my classes at tioga.

3.) The area that I think i have progress in lately is World History.

4.) It hasn't really been hard to me because it was actually unfinished work but i turned it in already.

1. I think the quote means that it is better if you take a long time on a project that not doing it at all.
2. I can relate this to all my classes because sometimes I forget to do my home work and so I get homework club and then I turn it in.
3. I feel like I progressed mostly in history because I had a very bad grade in it but I ask for all my late work and then she move my grade to a grade higher then what I used to have.
4. it was difficult because I have some of my friends in that class and they talk and distract me from doing my work. but I still finish it.

1 what do you think that quote means? I think it means to try then to not try at all.
2 how can you relate to this or any of these classes at tioga?
well its like english as my 4 period class im trying but its slow for me.
3 what is one area you feel you have progressed in lately ? well i think i had more progress in math cause ive been doing a lot better lately.
4 what is difficult why or why not.? well i think that its my social studies i mean i understand it an all but i dont score high on the test.

Web Design With Weebly Project (2-3 Weeks)

Objective: SWBAT create and explore graphic design principles by creating their own webpage by using the Weebly website.

Happy Thursday Class

Today you will learn more about certain functions that you can do on your webpage such as adding "COLUMNS" and a "CONTACT FORM." You will also be given all the requirements for your project so that every student may work at their own pace.
Step One: Focus on completing all requirements for PAGE 1 of your site.
Page One Requirements:

-Has an Avatar

-Has a Picture of you.

-Has two paragraphs
*One explaining a brief introduction about you.
*One explaining what guests will find on your website.

-Has a Contact Form

Step Two: Move on to the rest of the project requirements below:
Project Requirements

Your website should be made up of 10 pages total. See below for each page requirements. Every page has its own specific requirements. Read carefully.

Page 1: Home Page
This will be the page that will show up first when people visit your website. The home page should be a brief introduction about you. Insert your Voki Avatar on this page as an introduction as well as insert a photo of yourself. Write one paragraph explaining about who you are and another paragraph explaining what they will find on your website. Insert a “Contact Form” anywhere on the page.

Page 2: Class Schedule
One page describing your schedule of your classes at Tioga. List each class and the teacher. Put a picture for each class and explain in one paragraph what you are currently learning in that SPECIFIC class. On this page you will also have another section in which you will tell me your favorite class and teacher. Explain in one paragraph why and use pictures.

Page 3: Favorite Sport
One page describing your favorite sport and your favorite athlete – this could include colors of your favorite team, pictures of the team, etc. One paragraph describing who they are and one paragraph telling me why they are your favorite.

Page 4: Family
One page describing your family – give a biographical paragraph of each member living in your house. You may include pets or relatives that have passed if you wish. Be sure to add photographs as well. If you would like to bring in a picture Mr. Graney and scan send the photo to you.

Page 5: Favorite Holiday
One page describing your favorite holiday – explain in one paragraph why this is your favorite and include another paragraph with some facts about the holiday. There should also be some graphics and pictures inserted that are related to your holiday.

Page 6: Future Plans
One page describing what you plan on doing when you “grow up”. This should be about the career you plan on having when you finish school. Where are you planning on going to school, work, military service, etc? Think fifteen years down the road. One paragraph about what you want to be when you grow up and another paragraph describing what you have to do to get there.

Page 7: Travel
One page describing a place you would like to visit. Where and why? Give me at least one paragraph telling me about the location and another paragraph telling me why you want to go there. Include pictures and research found from the Internet.

Page 8: Meeting My Idol
One page describing who you would like to meet and why? Give me a paragraph about who they are and another paragraph telling me why you want to meet them? Include pictures.

Page 9: Interests
One page that can be about anything you want. (It must be appropriate)

I think the quote means that even if you work slow its better than doing nothing. I can relate this to this class because some people work slow but its better than having nothing. The area I feel like I have progress in is Science because I sometimes work slow but I feel like I did something instead of doing nothing.

i can relate this quote to tioga because most people litterally do this at times.

The progressed that i feel lately is on ELA & Technology.

it was a lil difficult because you have to put alot of effort.

this Quote means that even doing bad is better than doing nothing. i can relate because in one of my classes i have trouble, but at least i do something. i have had progress in technology. it was not hard at all because it was easy to connect with technology, it natural to me.

I think this quote means a lot because it tells you how people see the world.I can relate to this quote because of this class because it is teaching us how we will be in the future. I do think respect is important because I think everyone should respect each other.
