Objective: SWBAT navigate and complete exciting challenges and activities that will allow them to learn more about the internet by working their way through the website "Welcome To The Web."

Good Morning/Afternoon Class!
For today's task we will be learning more about using the internet! We will be continuing this lesson for the next few days to get you familiar of all the things you can do on the internet. We will be using a website called "Welcome To The Web" to get you more familiar with ways to stay safe while we search the internet.

Step One: Click on the picture below to get started! This is called a "Hyperlink" which you will learn more about. A new window will open. Don't forget to keep this window open so you can continue to follow your steps below.

Step Two: Mr. Graney will walk you through the first 5 pages and explain more about using the website. You will also receive your secret code sheet.

Step Three: You will then click on "2.Getting Started Online" and navigate through each page while completing your handout. There are many activities and games in this section. Take your time and read carefully. This will be your independent time, but Mr. Graney will still be walking around to see if you need help.

Step Four: The goal is to get to at least page 6 and complete questions 1-5 on your handout. Feel free to work together. We will continue this on Friday.

Step 5 (Exit Ticket): Leave a comment in this section and answer the question: What is one characteristic of a hyperlink?

This class is fun because I learned many things on websites...we went on this one websites to find secret codes...and solving mysteries . You can do many things on the internet. Mr.Graney is a really cool teacher.

the quote of the week is nioce because its telling you that overcoming what you thought u couldnt do is basically your strength . also the qoutes that the teacher wirtes is diffrent beacause not alot of teachers do qoutes and its helpful when mr.graney does it for to help us do better in school ....mr.graney

I think the quote of the week means things you once didn't know now make you stronger. I can relate because things I have learned from the past know help me now. It does not make you stronger when you complete something hard, IT means you know from your past.

what i think the quote of the week is telling you to be stronger when you complete a task you should feel more confident to do it. i think that I can relate this quote to my class because mr.graney is trying to make us fill confident to get good at what he's trying to teach us. what i think is that eventually we'll get good at it but for now he's going to teach us and we will.
